About
Hi, I'm Oliver.
IT student, Sydney local, and the person a lot of neighbours end up calling when the Wi-Fi drops out, the printer stops printing or the computer stops working.
How I got here
I'm a uni student studying IT, and somewhere along the way "I'll just fix that for you" turned into an actual practice. I like getting under the hood of things; figuring out why a router keeps dropping out, why a smart bulb won't join a hub, or why a script keeps throwing the same error at 1am.
That curiosity is why this site has four sections instead of one. Tech Help is the day-to-day version: computers, phones, Wi-Fi, TVs, and general setup work around the house. Smart Home is the deeper end of that same interest — making Google, Alexa, HomeKit and Home Assistant actually work how it should. Photography shows off my creative side, combining with my interests of drones and motorsport. And Projects is where the coding side of my degree spills out into things I've actually built, along with anything else I've been working on.
Off the clock, I'm still doing roughly the same thing - pulling something apart to see how it works, then trying to put it back together a bit better than I found it.
